Cala Major is a sandy cove located between the areas of Porto Pi and San Agustín, four kilometres away from the west of Palma, very close to the Marivent Palace, the summer residence of the Spanish royal family; built between the cliffs of Porto Pi and Cala Major. A small breakwater, used as a solarium, sections the beach in two parts. The characteristics of the seabed allow boats anchoring. The nearest marine facility, the Escola Nacional de Vela de Calanova, is located half a mile away.
